A floor career,
without the debt.
Our goal this year is to raise $5,000 for a young Nevadan with the grit to learn the flooring trade and the financial need to make it possible. Funded entirely by member contributions. 100% of every dollar goes to the recipient.
From member dues to a Nevada kid's first day on the jobsite.
Members contribute monthly.
Optional add-on at signup. Most members tack on $5–$25/mo; a few quietly run higher. Companies can also one-time donate.
Applications open in October.
Open to NV residents 17–24 enrolled in (or applying to) a flooring-trade program at a NV trade school, community college, or recognized apprenticeship.
Awarded in November.
The recipient is selected by a five-member board of NFA members. Funds go directly to the school for tuition, tools, and board.
Built for the Nevada kid no one else is funding.
★NV resident, age 17–24
You've lived in Nevada at least 12 months and graduated (or are graduating) from a NV high school.
★Pursuing a flooring trade
Enrolled or accepted into a flooring-related program — installation, fabrication, refinishing, estimating.
★Demonstrated financial need
Verified through your school's financial aid office. We're funding the kids who can't otherwise swing it.
★Two references
One academic, one professional or community. Doesn't have to be a flooring person — your boss at the gas station counts.
Every member who contributes is named in the annual report.
Announcement coming November 2026.
Applications open October 1. We'll feature the recipient (with their permission) on the homepage, in the newsletter, and at the annual meeting.
